Bugatti 4 of 20 Pebble Beach

Still trying to wrap up the pics I'll post from the 16 Aug 09 Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance - I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

Bugatti has been one of the greatest status symbols for the past 100 years regardless of whether it is a 2010 $2.5 million Veyron or the macdaddy of all - Guiness world record holder Type 41 from 1932 worth > $10 million. The Bugatti models present this year ran the gamut from the 1920 Type 13 to the 35B, 37A, 43A, 46, 52, 54, 35A/51, 57, 57C, 57SC to a half dozen Veyrons in colors including the exclusive new Sang Bleu, white/blue, grey/grey, silver, blue/black, and white.

One thing that intrigues me about Bugatti is that it is a French car with an Italian name. I also like how they stay true to their origin with all models having the distinct Bugatti grill regardless of how old or new.

The concours coincided with the Monterey Historic Auto Races at Laguna Seca Raceway, Concorso Italiano at Laguna Seca Golf Course, an exclusive car show at The Quail in Carmel Valley, Concours d' Lemons at Toro Park and several high visibility auctions around the Monterey peninsula.
