97 Harley Davidson old school

When this 1997 Harley Davidson Heritage Springer was brand new it was completely disassembled and is was custom built with every part that could be made to look like old school 1940s and 50s era so it has modern performance and handling combined with the retro look.

Here's a list of the custom modifications:

Frame and Swing Arm
All joints, seams, and castings were ground smooth. Unused brackets were removed. Seams were welded for added strength. The Upper and lower steering head, seat bracket, and swing arm tube castings were re-shaped and finished.

Engine and Transmission
Panhead style rocker boxes were added along with a Crane cam, Mikuni carburetor, Screaming Eagle ignition and air filter assembly. The heads, intake manifold, cylinders and engine cases were re-finished in mat black.

Miscellaneous
• Modify front Springer assembly to lower bike one inch.
• Reshape front fender and modify to hide wiring.
• New custom black rim wheels with .240 polished stainless steel spokes
• Fit Michelin Commander tires MT90/B16 front and 150/18-16 rear
• Internalize all cables and wiring.
• Modify nostalgia footboard assemblies and finish in powdercoat satin black.
• Custom rear turn signal assemblies
• Custom cut-down rear license plate bracket and horn bracket.
• Custom designed master cylinder cover.
• Modify brake pedal for round footpad
• Re-upholster seat with Connolly leather
• Remove ribs on transmission cover and reshape backing plate.
• Re-locate coil and with custom cover.
• Fabricate hidden oil tank brackets
• Nostalgia oil temp gauge installed
• Custom fabricated nostalgia handlebars and grips
• Replace front passing lamps with amber lenses and modify to be used as turn signals
• Modify Harley-Davidson free-flow muffler and shark fin tips
• Custom Progressive rear suspension components installed and lower the bike one inch.
• Remove fringe from saddlebags and seat.
• Custom braided leather on clutch and brake levers
• New hardware throughout including polished stainless Allen bolts, acorn nuts and washers.
• Harley-Davidson belt, foot peg, axle covers installed
• Custom birch white and black scallops with red pen striping paint applied to oil tank, fenders, and gas tank
