Nice one, my neighbour once had a 260Z. Also didn't Nissan start buying back Z cars and rebuild them back to original spec some years ago? Need to look that up.

Yes, you're right. And after Nissan restored them they sold them with warranties through Nissan dealers. Man, that would have been a great way to get a perfect Z.

Yeah, a buddy of mine in high school back in the early 80's got lost his license for a year for drinking and driving so he took his 78 280Z completely apart and rebuilt it all with high performance parts including a B.A.E. turbo. For that year his engine was basically a piece of furniture in his living room. When he got his license back he had the fastest car in town :laughing:
