It may be a stretch to call this a celebrity vehicle but Jerry Brown is at least famous or infamous depending on your political views. He is the former Governor and current Democratic Party candidate for Governor in the intense race against former eBay CEO and Republican Party candidate Meg Whitman. Today seems like a good day to upload this picture because the election starts in less than 24 hours. This 1974 Plymouth Satellite used to be owned by Jerry Brown. Some might look at this car and think "That gas guzzler should've been scrapped as part of President Obama's Cash for Clunkers Stimulus Package" but I actually love this car and regard it as a 4-door MOPAR muscle car with DNA close to the Plymouth Roadrunner and Dodge Charger; heck I even like the color which is UNC Tarheel Carolina Blue and is just a few shades lighter than the color that Richard Petty adorned to earn the moniker "King of NASCAR". I took this pic at the California Auto Museum in Sacramento, CA.

I once owned the Dodge version of this car, same 4 door sedan style in a higher trim level and a nice dark green color (spoiled only by having a vinyl roof, but I bought it used and had no choice in that). Only had a 318 with Torqueflite but it went pretty good. Good highway cruiser, comfortable, smooth and (especially for a Chrysler product of the 70s) quiet. Good fuel economy for what it was.
