This is the famous Chevy big block crate motor 572 cubic inch (9.4 liter) shoehorned into a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396. These motors typically have a minimum of 620 hp, but many are over 1,000 hp or even 1,300 hp. One heckuva a sleeper with those stock size 14" diameter tires. I took this picture on Alvarado Street in downtown Monterey, CA during the Cherry's Jubilee car show that pays tribute to the hot rods of the 1950's, 60's and 70's but I thought the presence of spectators was a distraction for this picture so I photoshopped them out (still a novice with chop skills).
a 572 nice bigger block then a standard 454 Chevelle makes me fall in love with Chevelle's even more grr im still jealous that my neigbor has a 1970 chevy chevelle ss 454 and is red with black racing strips on the hood, mmmm lol
